Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, Brazil's new President, pledges to end deforestation in the Amazon.
According to an analysis by Carbon Brief, this move could cut deforestation in the Amazon by 89 per cent over the next decade, if Luiz Lula keeps his promise.
Last month in his victory speech he said, “Let’s fight for zero deforestation".
