France banned short-haul flights

France banned short-haul flights when the same trip can be done by train in under 2.5 hours.

Do you think this is a good idea?

Flights will not be available between cities like Paris and Lyon anymore.

The reason is airline flights, even short ones, have MASSIVE carbon emissions and are a huge contributor to greenhouse gases.

On average, airline travel emits 77 times more CO2 per passenger than trains on these short trips.

Plus, trains are often faster door-to-door because they link downtowns in each city.

Airports, on the other hand, are often outside of the city centers.

This is a #WinForThePlanet 🙌🏼
